  • The Matrix Reloaded (possibly spoiler in time...)

Okay, you knew this was gonna be here. This is a beautiful little hole for all the discussion.

I am personally going to avoid discussing it publicly until, say, the end of the day to give others a chance to see it first. Even if you are spoiled with a little details that you haven't seen in the trailers, I GUARANTEE IT WILL NOT SPOIL THE MOVIE. Simply not possible.

I thought it was just as good as the first. Amazing effects. You know the scenes. Obvious computer issues, but way nifty the way they incorporated it, and the terminal shot was the best I've seen in a while. I'm just getting back from the show 3pm EST, and wish I could watch the conclusion, or even Reloaded again for that matter. GO SEE IT! The matrix has you...
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

      hrmm

I haven't seen the movie, but I heard that they pulled a "back to the future 2" with the ending.

The worst (or best part) is that we'll all anticipate it until it comes, and then go watch it like good little consumers.

      (I know I will)

The matrix really does own us all.

I went and saw it last night (the 14th) :)

Free pass situation, so I was'nt playing corporate consumer.

Not to give anything away, but it's pretty damn good. Lots of philosophy alot with the FX.

Note at one point that they actually do things right with computers; they SSH into a 10.0. address space as root on a proper looking shell. I think I was te only one in the theater who got that.

If you were already planning on going, you'll like it. If you were'nt, oh well.

That would be the 5 sec. terminal shot I'm raving about. How about the system used in Zion? Sure beats my Gibson ;)

It looks like they basically looked around at all the companies that poorly copied and ripped off the effects they pioneered in the first one, stuck up there middle fingers and said fuck y'all. I couldn't believe the extreme they took a lot of the effects.

As for the ending.. I kinda expected it to cut like that. I mean, everyone knows the story was going to have to stop at some point, already being some 2 or so hours as it is. But to those that think the storyline was lacking, or weak compared to the first.. I think they need to watch it again more closely. Very nicely done imo

This was 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

              Why god, why.
I like my women like I like my coffee. Thrown into a burlap sack, slung over the back of a mule, and then taken back to my kitchen to be burned, crushed, and scalded with hot water.

Blah Blah blah. Excellent movie. Try not to fall into the hype. I avoided all trailers, magazines and commercials. I even went so far as to close my eyes and cover my ears during the trailer before X2.

Amazing film, great acting and special effects. Enjoyed the depiction of Zion. All in all it was well worth the money and the two and a half hours in line to ensure good seats.

The reason people loved the first one so much is because they weren't expecting such an amazing film. Maybe they can't do better then the first, but they definetly matched it.

Avoid the hype, enjoy the show.

Grifter, is it too late to make a request for the DC movie channel?

Not somuch late as illegal. We are already riding a thin line with the movie channel, putting a movie that will more than likely still be in theaters on there would probably get us in hot water.

It wold probably be best to just play the stuff thats not in theatres and stay out of trouble, because it would really suck if defcon tv stoped.

Of corse not it's not like there are any law enforcement in las vegas or any feds attending a confrence that has a spot the fed contest. If they came the contest would be way to easy.;)
