Urgent Request for Help: Please Restore My DEF CON Group

    Dear DEF CON Groups Board,

I hope this email finds you well. I recently received your message regarding the termination of my role as the Point of Contact (POC) for DCG911232 (Ghaziabad/Modinagar) and the revocation of the group’s active status. I deeply apologize for any misunderstandings or actions on my part that may have caused confusion within the community or been inconsistent with DEF CON's values.

It was never my intention to misrepresent DEF CON Ghaziabad or misuse the DEF CON trademark. I realize now that I may have taken steps that were not fully aligned with the expectations of the DEF CON Groups Board. For this, I sincerely apologize, and I take full responsibility for any oversight or errors in judgment.

The DEF CON community means a great deal to me, and I am passionate about fostering the growth of InfoSec knowledge in my region. I truly believe there is a great potential here to build a vibrant community under the DEF CON banner. I am fully committed to adhering to all the necessary guidelines and ensuring that future interactions reflect the integrity and respect that DEF CON stands for.

With this in mind, I humbly request reconsideration of the decision to revoke the status of DCG911232. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or mentorship to correct the mistakes I have made and bring the group back into compliance with DEF CON's expectations. I am eager to learn from this experience and ensure that the group operates in a manner that reflects the core values of DEF CON.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I sincerely hope we can work together to restore DCG911232. Please let me know if there are any further steps I can take to address this matter.

    Respectfully,

    Yash Goswami

The DEF CON Group (DCG) Coordinators generally do not monitor the DEF CON Forums for DCG changes. For any DCG changes, you should contact "dcgroups at defcon.org" by email. Email to that is sent-on to several people that are DCG Coordinators.

You can keep your post here, but it is very unlikely to result in what the topic expresses as a change.

I am not a DCG Coordinator.

    Good luck!
