Hi. I sent a message to the email address for the All Hacking Cons YouTube channel regarding a privacy request that I suspect found their way into the spam folder. Just reaching out.

Neither one of these are *@defcon.org email addresses.
It is likely that someone not affiliated with DEF CON decided to download content from https://infocon.org/ and then post them on youtube.com
The originals on https://infocon.org/ do not have commercial breaks like youtube.com often inserts.
As far as I know, neither of those email addresses are affiliated with DEF CON, defcon.org or infocon.orgLast edited by number6; January 26, 2026, 18:48.Comment

Fair enough. The info they posted on the channel does make it seem like they are affiliated with infocon. Just fyi

I'm not authorized to alter content on infocon.org and I do not manage content on that site. Even if I did, the user that posted that on youtube has no motivation to remove it, leaving a net result of it still being published somewhere, including the original convention that hosted the video.Aside from that, will you please remove my talks:

An attempt to get content removed from the Internet that is already published in multiple places, and downloaded via torrents by an unknown number of global users to publish some time in the future might require persistence and not result in all copies being removed everywhere.
With that understanding, if your focus is limited to just removing it from infocon.org , use an email address associated with the "you" that was in the video URLs mentioned above which can be verified as you being the you, you claim to be (avoiding cases where anyone can request any video be removed at any time which could result in an anonymous DoS through removal of all content), and then send a request ( according to https://infocon.org/fancyindex/infocon-faq.html ) to info [at] infocon.org with your request for removal and links to the videos to be removed.
Then, if your interest is with all other locations these videos are posted online, you'll need to contact each service that has published the videos.
If the youtube user that published the youtube content continues to be unresponsive to such requests, I'm guessing your next step would be trying to send your request to youtube.
Good luck!Last edited by number6; January 27, 2026, 06:09.Comment
