If she is going to hate being at the con or wanting to drag you away from it the whole time, or bitch/piss/moan/etc.. DITCH HER for the weekend! It will ruin the good time you will have. Not much sucks worse than doing something you really want to do, just to have it fucked up by someone who is going to make you misrable. (believe me.. I know... )

Where do you go form there, CompUSA? I do wonder what retail electronics sales is like, hope we meet up at Defcon.

Why on Earth would you try to make a purchase that significant somewhere that will anally rape you on prices?!

You could easily get a business deal from Dell with discounts for the bulk purchase, plus their kickass business warranty, which covers everything from routine hardware failure to accidently leaving your laptop on top of your car, driving onto the freeway, and having it slide off into moving traffic.
