How many of you had crossed the line in linux security? i mean wich of you had tried to compile their own modified linux source, thinking that it is more secure than others, just because it was yours...i did that ..an do u know what happened???

I screwed it up..i fooked with the raw socket and it started sending all kinds of data but UDP...
    :D

PS: it was a modified source of Mandrake 9.0 (hope thay never find out i fooked up their linux distro)
PS2: i named it : Slaughter Linux (hehe)

so far i have had decent luck with modifications and recompiles. my theory is to avoid the core components unless there is no other option.
