a most excellent plan!... no more saying, "yeah i'll be the guy with the colored hair and the black clothing... "

... though it would be nice to be *free* I wouldn't mind paying a 5 dollar cover charge for the forum meet if it is in a room to help disperse the costs of a forum party leading up the HJ.

Unfortunately there are those whom will be able to make it and those whom won't because of time or whatnot.... let's plan this for those whom can be there.

i too was waiting for this thread to go up. i like the idea of having a room so we dont get so cluster fucked....

so we dont want to do this thurs night? it just seems like people will have a more open schedule on a night when nothing is scheduled.....

Thursday night was the plan last year, but there is a major problem. It ends up being Friday morning, as caravan forum members do not arrive until after midnight. Considering that it is Defcon, this isn't a major oddity. However, it isn't too convenient to arrive at the AP and run to a forum meet before unpacking.
Some Friday arrangement would be good.

I had figured early Friday morning (fine, call it Thursday), would work fine to duplicate last year... the whole room/chill thing kinda got my interest back when grifter first mentioned it, and that time on Friday would be fine by me

As for hacker jeopardy... it may be of interest for people to take good care of the guys with digital photo and audio recording devices... such people could end up with nifty surprises afterwards... which brings the following to mind, is anyone else with a cam interested in combining efforts to make a kickass HJ coverage project? probably PM or a different thread would be better if so, as not to futher adulterate this thread.. just a possibility to throw out..

I've met many of you over my years at defcon, but it would be nice to now be able to put names/faces/personalities together.

I will be arriving tuesday, so any night works for me. I'm easy to spot, I look alot like my avatar
