As I have never been to defcon before I don't know that much about it as you can see...
So if I am to be talking on the grass/ or near the pool should I bring my own setup, aka lcd projector and computer or should I try to get a room?
I know the deadline was june 15 for call of papers and I missed it almost by 30 days :(
Although this is a bitchin project involving 802.11 hardware and software hacking, I would like to be in a room... Do you think it would be possible to hijack a room if someone is finished with their speak early?

I think you missed the point of using english. Please re-read Noid's response...then re-read it again...if necessary please get a translator.
Really I'm not trying to be mean. If you REALLY have to do your presentation consider some of the other suggestions:
- rent a room and provide free booze to all that will listen.
- sit on the grass and talk to anybody in hearing range.
- wait till next year and submit in a timely manner.
Life is too short not to enjoy....because you won't get out alive.
KeggeR, I think an adequate solution is to wander the Vegas strip after breaking your presentation into 5 minute "mini-speeches" which you can give to random people you accost on the street.
"Excuse me sir, are you aware that anyone can easily write a program which spoofs an AP and sends deauthentication frames faster than the AP can authenticate stations, thus providing an effective denial of service attack for all users of a wireless network?"
"Who the FUCK are you? Get the FUCK away from my girlfriend."
Although I envision success in your speech no matter what approach you take, I think the method I've outlined here is destined for the highest degree of success.
hahahaha ok guys ill let this thread die, i think I will resubmit next year after I hammer out a few issues with my project, maybe just talk with a few people about it... But I will give up on trying to get a large public audience
