        Actually...

I also need to thin out my hardware collection (see: September's 2600 meeting is where I offload 90% of what I own), but am interested in the iOpener and iMac. What would you be looking for in exchange or sale for them?

for the imac... anything good that is equiv. in value or $400 (we can haggle that) and the iOpener anything around $60 (haggle)

and since you live in LA you can come pick it up before the con if you want...

              includes:
              both cradles (serial and usb),
              power cables,
32mb sim card, (the wireless pcmcia card if i can find the box for it)
              software install disks,
              update disks,
and i will include my printouts for installing linux on it and some good links i found or.. if you cant then i will put linux on it for $20

Thanks, but I'm going to have to pass on both. the iMac is just more than I can spend right now, and I'd love to get the iOpener but unfortunately the Michelin I shredded this morning has knocked that out of hte equation. Thanks, though.

maybe you should look up the meaning of haggle.

                  http://dictionary.reference.com sez....

                  hag·gle ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hgl)
                  v. hag·gled, hag·gling, hag·gles
                  v. intr.

To bargain, as over the price of something; dicker: “He preferred to be overcharged than to haggle” (W. Somerset Maugham).

To argue in an attempt to come to terms.

basically i price everything way too high cause thats what i want for it... it is almost like reverse ebay... i tell you what i want.. you tell me what you can give me. :P trades welcome. trades and cash. cash.... a defcon ticket... whatever is good..

                  dij

                  btw... sucks about that tire.

Thanks, I'm well aware of its meaning. So here's what I'm able to offer, given my current financial situation: iOpener, $20; iMac $50. I figure the price on the iOpener's about average for what I see them for on eBay, but what I'm offering on the iMac is way below market. Quite honestly, what I was trying to do here was avoid making an insultingly-low offer.

                    btw... sucks about that tire.
Thanks :) Damn Michelins aren't cheap, but my car doesn't seem to do well on anything else.

                              ok...

I think ill go with the used floppies for now, unless I can get you down to 6$ for the black ones?

Ill give you $20 for both machines, works for me.

How bout one 14 inch console monitor for $12?

I have a 15 monitor (colors are a little off, but nothing too bad) that I could trade. I have an 8 port hub, (i would have to buy a power supply for it), i have a 4 port hub (its only 10, not 10/100, power supply with it), i have a couple old old old hd's, (like 500mb, 1gb, etc). I think thats all i have for trade, not much, but let me know.
