    MATHCAD, MAPLE, MATLAB and Mathematica

Do you have a favorite out of MATLAB, MATHCAD, MAPLE and Mathematica?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

I have been a MATHCAD user for years, and am wanting to expand my horizons.

Mathematica - you can invert 1000x1000 matrices in under 10 seconds, but I'm biased - I think Wolfram is a god.

I liked Mathcad for making my homework pretty, but I don't have homework anymore, so I gave up using it.

If you are into simulation using finite element analysis and cellular automata, he is definitely one to worship.

Of course there is his book .
