The Defcon forum changed their layout!
Now both color options are black-on-black...

Is there any chance of getting a color scheme with more contrast?

One of my favorite shirts that is non-defcon <gasp>

I couldn't even tell you the year I threw my last shred of non-black clothing away :)

Lastly wearing black also has its practical uses... as paraphrased from one of my favorite authors Poppy Z. Brite ... it hides blood, wine and jelly donuts stains quite well from prying eyes. :D

I think this has gone off a tangent...

I'm simply asking for a little more contrast in the forum's color scheme. Right now, I need to "select-all" if I want to read all the text.

They used to have a higher-contrast gray color scheme, but that's gone now.

I have no problem with a "black" background, but black text on black means that few people will be able to read this very useful and timely forum.

Think of the "This is Spinal Tap" album -- they did black-on-black as a joke. Please don't let the Defcon forum become a joke.

Um, Click on the picture below to see what most likely everyone but yourself is seeing... Is this what you are seeing?

If it is, then it is not black on black since you can see the text is easily read... but if you aren't seeing what the picture shows then you may want to flip through your profile and see if you can change back to default... if you just don't simply like the available layouts feel free to make one and submit it to nulltone, and perhaps he will add it. :)

Yeah, that's it.
Since I stare at the monitor most of the day, I keep the brightness turned down (staring at a bright monitor makes the eyes hurt after 6 hours...).

If I increase the brightness, then I can see it, but I sure do miss that higher contrast profile... Why did they get rid of it?

yes it pretty much is... although I do recall there being an alternative template (that user is able to choose in personal profile) that nulltone was experimenting with a different color scheme long ago... I am not sure if it was lost in the upgrade, but it sure looks like it.

yeah.. he had started playing with additional schemes, one was... blue and white? i (think)... I think this is one of those things he had mentioned in the 'ideas for mods' kinda thread a while back just before dc....

when your name pops up on the top 50 posters list, then you look at the boards long enough to request a change. if we can deal with it, than you can.
