  • ASP/ ASP.NET book

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to learn ASP. I don't particularly want to, but the choice is out of my hands. So, can anyone recommend a good book on the subject? Theres plenty of them out there, and like most comptuer books, I'll assume 90% are crap. So, anyone have any recommendations?

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

Lo siento. Back in the day, I used to like the Wrox books for ASP, but Wrox is outta business. Dunno if they ever covered the .NET stuff. which is an improvement on the ASP in many ways (XML support, database access, etc)

For better or worse, I've found Sams Learn "X" in 24 hours to be pretty good books. If nothing else, its' a base foundation that you can learn enough about the sbject to figure out what book you want to read next for full in depth study.

.. and for the sorts that really don't like reading through linear books for picking up languages.. I have always found the references at http://www.devguru.com helpful for various web scripting things.
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

I have a few of their asp books, but not completely for .net. Overall the books are quite decent.
