Some of you know I'm in the process of opening a coffee shop with a netcafe. I am almost finished with my business plan, and will be ready to seek out investors soon. My problem? I still don't have a name! Ck thought it would be a great idea to get suggestions from all y'all, and I think he's right. Anything good out there?

My first choice was "Get Wired", but there is apparently a shop by that name in Houston, so that's not gonna work. "Java Beans" is also out, because one of the few independent shops in town is called "Jazzy Beans", and I want my name to sound distinct.

BTW...this 10 char minimum for posting messages is starting to piss me off. My witty retorts are often a mere one word....sometime as little as four characters (FUCK) or as many as 8 (FUCK YOU or FUCK OFF). I don't like having to jack with my perfect replies just to meet the minimum char requirement.

        Octalpussy,
I think what you're doing is awsome! I wish you the best, and I'm sure your shop will be a success. I honestly believe that the name isn't as important as the quality of the coffee and the service. I realize that the name is what gets the attention though. First impressions are important. ;)

        Here are some ideas-
        [owners name] Cafe
        Dev/Null Coffee House
        CAT5 Cafe
        Wireless Cafe
        Java Plugin
System32 Coffee Shop (for Windows Fans)
        Coffee Kernel
        HyperText Cafe
        *Coffee "Server"*
If the name gets too technical, most folks won't get it. :(
What ever you name it...It will be a success.

Not techie, but it has a more regional flavor.

If you need to add extra characters to get to the minimum of ten then can you use Alt+255?

I'm not really going for a theme, though I'll probably have a few techie-named specialty drinks. The feel will be lived-in comfortable, with comfy furniture (likely secondhand), and a cozy feeling of days gone by (think Amiga, Atari, c64, WarGames and Tron).
