vobcopy

I was recently attempting to install vobcopy software, and it said in its requirements that it needed libdvdread to be installed. No problem, I installed their latest version, and compiled and installed vobcopy...but, whenever I run the vobcopy binary it gives me the error
vobcopy: error while loading shared libraries: libdvdread.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The thing is, when it installs, it looks for my libdvdread libraries and wont install without them, so it's not like it cannot find them.

Does the user you're running the app as have that lib in their path? Does the user have adequate permissions for that lib?

I'm sure you're doing this just to make legitimate back up copies, right?
