I'm sure we've all heard the iPod complaints before, but apparently a number of people are having problems with broken logic boards in their G3 iBooks, like this guy:

Which has me worried, considering I own one of these models...

It doesn't suprise me that Apple has been having trouble with the motherboards. I was playing around with an iBook and it got very very hot sitting on my lap.
Alas, I expect more out of Apple. :)
    The dude abides.

One more reason that my iPod will be the only apple product I own.

I mean... I got nothin'... REALLY... against 'em... not as bad as say, Microsoft... however, they're not exactly a stellar company themselves...

I have a 12" PowerBook which has the 867 G4 in it and I am very, very, happy with it. Yes it gets warm but not nearly as hot as my gateway laptop and not to mention the apple's fans are not as loud either. I just hope apple can fix this problem before it gets to be a problem for them.

My G3 iBook is supposed to arrive any minute after being shipped to the Apple Repair facilities. I've had it since June and I love it, but something went wrong about a month ago and the screen finally quit coming up and I don't think it was booting.

Sound familiar. I'll let you know how it turns out. But I LOVE my iBook.... In hindsight though, I think I would have done the powerbook thing had I had more $$$ to spend.
