Why am I getting flashbacks to the Black Knight scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Well, it cant be a true knighthood. To be truly knighted you have to be a citizen of the UK. The highest honor the queen can bestow on a non-UK person is the Knight of the British Empire, which is slightly different (i.e. You don't get the 'Sir' title).

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

Maybe if your British, but "William H. Gates III, Knight of the British Empire" sounds a heck of alot funnier.

One of teh news casts said something about "three little letters at the end of his name" which might mean Esq.

And with Mick Jagger getting knighted, I expect Ozzy to be next.

Im pretty sure you need an OBE (Order of the British Empire) before you can be knighted. This is a good and bad measure at the same time. Why?

Because of people like David Beckham, who received an OBE last year. A FOOTIE PLAYER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! ITS NOT LIKE HE CONTRIBUTES TO SOCIETY!!

                      >>;; Ahem. Next we can hope for Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, and while we are at it, we can probably get Bill Clinton in there too. Lets not forget Nixon either.

                      *cough*
