Anyone know of any good IT technical schools in Michigan, or any surrounding schools?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
There are not any flat out tech schools in Michigan that I would even give a second look at - I would recommend EMU, or Umich - both have elaborate IS/IT departments, and the professors teach outside of the box, onlike many others you'll find in Michigan.

If you're interested in IT Security....
Walsh College's Information Assurance Program was one of only 40 schools in the US to be recognized by the NSA for meeting the national standards established by the National Telecommunications and Informations Systems Security Committee. I signed up last Fall but had to drop after my first night of class because of a family emergency - I heard nothing but good things from other students, though.
No please don't goto ITT. I am from Michigan and that is where I obtained my associates degree. BIG MISTAKE I am now staring down $21000 in student loans. The school is a joke. Do yourself a huge favor and don't go there. I am proud of the work I did, not the school. Its about as good as well nothing. Visit the sites below, it will explain alot. www.itt-sucks.com www.ittsucks.com www.ittsucks.2ya.com

I have heard bad things about ITT Tech, but thats the only school that is in my area that is offering what i plan to do. I wouldnt mind moving so lets expand our horizons to lets say.. central-eastern region. Thoughts?

Yes, thats why i plan on doing. I know of MIT and I've heard great things about that school, Boston is a nice city. Another one soemone mentioned to me was Virginia Tech, anyone know anything about that?
yes, MIT is one of the best, if not *THE* best tech school in the nation, and a good 2/3 of the world at this time.... That is also why you need to graduate high school with a 3.9 as a minimum - they take 5% of the top 2% that exist... those are not good numbers unless you qualify in a few ways on top of grades, MENSA looks good, excellent score on the peabody looks good too. Scholarships would be the easiest way of financing it too, out of state attendees that are just there for the school will spend about 44kish a year... that's 176k for 4 years, and not many have that floating around in a bank account. If you wanted to attend MIT, do not start there - start at UMich and pull 3.9+ through the first 2 years, all the credits will transfer, and you will not get denied unless you register late - they look at previous college history, and if you bust ass and show you can do it, they will not hesitate to take you aboard.
Im taking a Local College class through my highschool on Computer Support, and for my senior year i plan to take a IT class, both count as college and high school credits. Im deciding wether i should do that, or stay at the highschool and get academic credits. I have 3 credits in english, by my senior year I will have 5, and 4 credits of math, 3 in science. Any suggestions, im deciding which is best for my future.
Ok, well i have pretty much ruled out going to any ITT Tech Institutes. So far all i have heard is bad things about the school. Im looking at Berkeley, admissions seem very tight.
