You know it's funny... I was checking that very same thing a few months ago. I don't remember who I got ahold of, but there is a way to send the defcon staff a demo of your material, and I think they will get back to you... Although, I didn't get to find out, because I didn't have a demo ready to send. But I will soon. hopefully someones got the info... cause I'm ready now and I cant seam to find the right link to get me connected to the right person... Maybe they're booked or something. Good Luck! Sorry I aint got the info, but I'll need it when you do find the answer... . . . .

I want to get involved if so!
While @ con turn on 93.7 on the room tv/radio, bring a small radio or tell your cab driver to turn it on while going to/from strip &&|| airport.
Defcon radio will begin broadcast thursday nite and turn off sunday mid afternoon.
If you would like to be on DCR either live or pre-recorded as either DJ, live music (unless your going full hippie on me w/acustics we won't have room for full band, so pre-recorded is helpful here), discuss your Defcon/BlackHat presentation or just want to shout a general Y0 to your hommies contact me and we'll set something up.
For those who have graphics skills or friends with them, DCR needs a facelift on the web site.
Finally, we'll be hosting stream via at least 1 DS3 for those who can't make it to to Con, so if you have access to bandwidth for the weekend and can setup a relay server also contact me so we can coordinate & test...

Can I do an all-request dial-in hour (or two) via win-amp streamed or a direct output from my laptop to your setup? I'd take calls via my room phone or a local phone or IRC or something. I'd love to be able to put people on the radio though.

I wish the DEF CON.com's radiostation would work for me.But it didn't.The computer always finds ways to laugh at me.
I would be happy with meeting The guy who was on Take Down.Damn I miss that movie...He's a major software techie now though. Not that he wasn't a techie to start with.He was a hacker. The gods of technology in my eyes.

The first rule of doing anything live - don't trust the other guy's equipment.
I am thinking I would plug right into their Microphone/Input jack and all they need to do is setup their system to broadcast through that input, or I would just plug my computer right into the broadcast' equipment's input.
I love the idea of being able to put people on the air via phone calls or in-studio. Maybe provide an FTP site where they can dump a song to be played if I don't have it.
And if that fails, have a CD of pre-recorded shit to put on.

Skeet Ulrich? Yah, he'll be there, along with Johnny Miller, Matthew Broderick, Robert Redford, and Henry Thomas. I believe they're on the 'how to sodomise fanboys with a pitchfork' panel.

I bring several servers earch year (http://defcon.dmzs.com/about/howto.phtml) and this year should have a fixed station for a DJ to be at. Once I get to the alexis I will look into what it would take to get a phone extension whereever i'm setup to tie directly into the mixer.
If that doesn't work, then there will be an ftp site, usb port for usbdisk transfer and cd player all at the DJ station.
For those who are DJ's they will have access to a private DCR wifi network where we will be running our linux based mixing/streaming tools and DJs will be able to directly queue new content.
Like all things in life, I only code as much as I'm able (and i'm also working on a cool hack for the IP embedded contest too) so it'll have as much as gets done. As such....programmers, DJ's, artists, anyone who thinks they can help....email me/im me/irc and let me know what you can do to help.
