3rd Annual Defcon Cannonball Run

This is the third year we are throwing the Defcon Cannonball Run together and we still have gusto to continue. For those that do not know the Defcon Cannonball Run is a race from Redondo Beach. CA to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was inspired by Deathrace Caravan and one of Burt Reynolds finer films. The cars start about 5 minutes apart and punch in at a time clock at the start and finish lines. This year we will hope to have tracking maps at the hotel and video coverage of the finish as well as spectator interviews. For more information check out the website or get in touch with me.

Final preps are being made for the 3rd annual Defcon Cannonball Run. I have also completed the final draft to the 2nd Annual Defcon Cannonball Run DVD. This movie was given thumbs up by el_jefe himself. The trailer can be found at Windows Media or Real Media

This years DVD should be even better. Bring your DVD cameras, tape recorders, digital cameras and other media devices.

So, it's 44 days till the race. Everything is in place. We have some volunteers and can always use more. Three of the teams so far ar returning challengers, one which has already won once. The DVD of the 2nd Annual Defcon Cannonball Run has been finished and will be at Defcon. We should also have Defcon Cannonball Run Shirts for all the racers. There will be a party, there will be stupidity, there willo be costumes. See ya there.

LAST CALL: 3rd Annual Defcon Cannonball Run

Just about trhee days till the Race begins. Some teams have been posted and this year is bigger than last year. I won't speak about it but we should have at least one celeb on this run. The meeting place will be Thursday at the Jo0es Crab Shack in Redondo Beach. It is in Kings Harbor near the Portofino Hotel. If you don't plan on racing, you can show up with cameras or just to cheer. There will be t-shirts and DVD's for the racers and it should be a great time when we all finish. Remember the URL is http://moloch.org/cannonball and lets have a safe ride to Vegas.
