Catching a ghost!

So I was testing security on my LAN via SSprotcol, it showed the user net information but no ip address. Is this a common thing I will run into? and if not any URL's that can be provided would be great. I ve checked all my resources and I came out with nothing. Or perhaps I am asking the wrong questions.
