Being that Def Con is just 72 days away asof 051804, I was curious if anyone has any sort of forum meet planned up. I have heard of this occuring in the past, and I'm wondering who has arranged this. Being that I'm a dork, I'm willing to make nametags for everyone with their actual name, handle, avatar, sin number, certificates of pretention, etcetc. Is there any sort of interest, or am I just going to end up getting called a homo by highwizard?

Nulltone is heading the Operation up. There has been talk of it in the BBQ thread.
Most people wear badges with their forum Avatar (see the FAQ for details), so this helps us recognize eachother. Also we usuall have an introduction session at the beginning of the forum meet. And No Homo today.

Except for me, I'll be the one with braids, flowers in my hair, a tie dye headband and t-shirt, patchwork corduroy shorts, and birkenstocks. I'll also be sporting some patchouli (how else can I mask the sweet scent of Colorado's superkind eminating from my pocket?), and I'll be going around asking everyone if they want to hack while holding up my 8 panel sand filled footbag...

The forum meet usually happens DURING the conference at some point. It is already being planned and more info will be made as soon as it is decided by those coordinators. The BBQ is a totally seperate thing and happening BEFORE the con starts. Go to both.

phobal: don't forget to put your room # on the badge too, it's all teh rage

... so.. last year the forum meet was even cooler than the year before. I've heard folks saying that they want to also do something while chilling, meeting and greeting. What? a thrilling match of drunken hacker scrabble? name that rfc? (ie name that tune, "I can name that rfc in..") In an attempt to save this thread from total fodder, post your ideas.

Taking a note from Grifters posting last year. Maybe people should post pictures of themselves again, so we know who we are looking for...

Preferablly pictures taken at Defcon.
