    well, piracy is a valid and massive issue... it is justified. the independent media, particularly the independent online media tends to, uh, embelish.

    the only evidence i see here against cracking down on piracy is a bald guy putting what looks to be a computer in a van and some online news websites.

      One advantage this will bring is a consumer shift to use more P2P sharing systems which use various levels of encryption. The more we see encryption written into more mainstream and public applications (SSL was a *great* example of this) the less suspect that other encrypted traffic will be when observed.

      I think it would be great if all traffic were well encrypted.
