  • New "Stealing the Network" Book

If you haven't had a chance to check this book out you need to get to the store and pick it up. This is the second book in the "Stealing the Network" series and is just as good, nay!, better than the last one. We don't have very much Hacker Fiction out there so support this book so we can have some more.

Sample Chapter written by our very own Russ.

If you want to buy this book, and you should, head over to Amazon and pick up a copy.

Stealing the Network: How to Own a Continent
by FX, Paul Craig, Joe Grand, Dan Kaminsky, Ken Pfeil, Ryan Russell
Okay so when did Russ get a name change?

*I plan on ordering it today.*

If everyone on the NS/DC forums keeps writing books, I'm not going to have any money left to goto con!

It's a plot lead by Chris and Russ to keep the deer in Utah safe. ;)

The first Stealing the Network book was alot of fun. I'll have to pick up the second one now. "How to Own a Continent" is an easy way to make the book sound alot better than the first one. We all want to be the next Roman Empire.

Actually, that author list isn't complete. Russ wrote the chapter as "Saul" and both it and the entire book are excellent.

I was wondering about that, because when you go to take a look at "Stealing the Network: How to Own the Box" it also did not list Russ but it did list a Ryan Russell.

/me thinks they need to list all the authors so people don't get confused.

Kai and Russ were both authors on the IAM book:
                    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

But again not all of the authors are listed (Kai isn't).

A gf bought Wyrm for me [wyrm]on a trip to vegas years back... had been trying to get me hooked up with her friend who's was deep into infosec. Although the book was mostly in a VR MUD, the references to defcon were what sparked interest in the event for me. Always wanted to attend, but unable to make it... till this year. (anyway blabber)

I have the first one, and thumbed through the new one. First one is great, second one is on the wishlist.

Yes, they should. I'm Ryan , Russ is Russ. We're trying to get Amazon to update the book listing, but it has taken months so far. Seems that they get a little busy sometimes.
