Various news sources are reporting on a recent request by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to California to return $270 million that is supposedly owed Enron and other energy companies from profits on the resale of electricity. This comes in the wake of the recent disclosure of tapes of conversations between Enron executives which make clear rampant gouging of California citizens by the energy company.
