  • Need a place to crash Thursday-Sun

Seeking a spot to crash, hopefully at AP, floor / couch is ok. I'm clean, honest, funny, and pretty knowledgable in the ways of computer security. Looking to meet some cool ppl and have fun as usual. 4th time back to DC.

I was holding two spaces and now I am holding no spaces. I will wait for closer to con since folks seem to still change their minds often.

        warning: this is off topic
Am I the only one that finds the order of these 'intresting'?

            Here is what I saw:

            1) Often things are stated in order of importance, so placement of clean before honesty is amusing in that the person may be suggesting cleanliness is more important than honesty. If this is the case, then how can you be sure that the person is being honest about being clean?

            2) "Honesty," is stated before "funny" so you get the impression that the person is more honest about when they are funny. This sets the stage for the next item:

            3) "Funny." comes before, "pretty knowledgable in the ways of computer security" which is a rather bold statement to make. It could be considered to be an honest joke when the claim is made, since it proceeds the claim to being funny.

            HTH

            [Edit: Added content below here]

I do not think that means the above is true, but is does permit a rather amusing way to see what it might mean. :-)

So does this mean you can install Redhat on my laptop?

I just need a place to crash while at DC.

I am the above attributes but in no particular order. I work in the network security field for a living, and no I'm not an expert, just looking for other people at a moderate skill level to converse with.

Unless you have something useful to say please flame elsewhere.

That's not inviting trouble. (but it's a very kind invite) :)

Now he's just asking for us to be mean...

I think he took my redhat comment seriously at first.

The redhat installation comment was blatant sarcasm.

Yeah, redhat is complete garbage, I think that's why Cisco decided to switch to it from solaris for their IDS systems. :)
