Group leaving from Phoenix Thursday Morning..

We have a few cars leaving Phoenix on Thursday morning (need to arrive in time for the Toxic BBQ)

We are also leaving on Thursday, but my friends haven't agreed on a departure time. I think we're currently looking into noon, but I'd love to head out sooner.

The current plan is to meet in the Albertson's parking lot at I-17 and Carefree Highway (as opposed to the Grand Ave route of past years).

Just so you know, there will be up to five of us and two cars. Since the Ad Hoc networking hasn't proved that effective, we plan to utilize FRS (and can probably get some spares if your party needs a couple).

All of us work with computers to some extent, but we don't have any Dan Kaminski's among us. (Then again, who does? :) )

I guess the point of this ramble is don't count us in yet, but keep us in mind.

PS: I apologize for not replying to your earlier post. I guess I was just being lazy.

PPS: Do you, by an chance, have Shadow travelling with you? I haven't seen that guy in quite a while. :)

Our group is loose with the stopping points. We tend to make two stops on the way for stretching, switching drivers, etc. (I know, we're lightweights :D).

If someone wants us to stop somewhere specific, speak up! The old Phoenix caravan used to pass through Flagstaff, which I am not averse to, but we do not, currently, plan to pass that way.

My thoughts are Defcon keeps me so busy that Thursday is really the only day to take in Vegas. Thus, the earlier the better. I am not working Thursday, and I hope my friends will be able to follow me in that regard.

LosT, on the other hand, wants to attend the Toxic BBQ, which, I believe, starts at 18:00.

I'd love to have someone join our group. Assuming no one backs out, we will be taking two vehicles. That should leave between 1 and 3 (depending on the vehicles) empty seats in which we can comfortably fit people.

Sorry about that. I've been a little lazy about organizing the trip...

7:00 AM might be a bit early (my friends work on what they call "Asian time" :) ), but I'll run it past them. I was thinking more like 10:00 AM, but, personally, I would love to leave at 7:00.

I saw the DC602 forum, but it seemed pretty slow. If time allows, I'll post in there, as well.

I'm also from phoenix(scottsdale really) and need a room Fri & Sat night. I'll pay in cash and toss in some Taser swag(shirts, hats, whatever) if that'll make a difference. Floor space or couch or whatever works.

Best route from phoenix to vegas.

we'll be leaving from chihuahua, mexico today at 6 pm. And will be passing by phoenix around 6 or 7 am, what's the best route to take from phoenix to vegas???, I always go to flagstaf???, is there another route?. Thanks in advance!

All right. We are ditching LosT 'cause my friends are unwilling to leave at 7AM. Sorry.

So, if anyone cares to join in...

We are leaving at approximately 10AM from the Albertson's parking lot at I-17 and Carefree Highway. We plan to take the Carefree Highway west through Wickenburg to the US-60. This isn't going to be a Cannonball Run, so there will be stops and no (obscene) speeding.
