  • Rooms available Grand Desert Resort

For those of you still looking for rooms, I just booked mine today at the Fairfield Grand Desert Resort located .21 miles from Alexis Park and they still have some available rooms. They are cheaper than some other hotel suites and offer free shuttle service, though they told me it was about a 5 min walk to Alexis Park. The 1 bdrm room prices are as follows:
    Thurs - $75
    Friday-$119
    Sat-$119
    Sun-$75
    Total with taxes was $417.65
You have to call them to get these prices though because at hotels.com & other sites it is real pricey

I think i'll stick with Embassy Suites.. This place looks like a timeshare mecca.

From the single travelocity review (2 out of 5 smileys!):

This resort should not have rooms to rent if you are not in the market to buy a timeshare.
The minute we checked in we were asked to make a appointment to view their properties
We always require a non-smoking room due to medical reasons, we notice a voluntary
non-smoking policy flyer in our room. What does that mean ?You don't get room service,
the resort has no long distance carrier and we also noticed security was not very
noticeable, looking out my window witnessed man urinating on a bush across the street.
The pool area was very loud. We would not stay at this resort in the future.
Of course the "Walt Disney World" and the "pool area was very loud" make me suspect this is one of those whiney types, I hate timeshare people. Their main website is pretty nebulous as well. If you decide to stay here, vegas.com has rates @ 93.75 a night for a 1 bedroom.

On the bright side, they are pretty damn close to the AP.
We own everything so you don't have to!
