  • Interested in interactive Speech?

I have setup a demo/speech that has been approved and posted on DC speakers page. It will required you bring your own lappy to the speech, and attempt to hack my network (with help from me). But I have not gotten many hits on my "what you need to be prepare" website.

Is there no interest in interacting with the speeches? Does everyone just want to sit and stare in aw? I was thinking that this would be an interesting twist?

    what's your thoughts?

Some background on what I'm talking about.

I really like the idea. The problem (for me at least) is that this is first I have heard of it. I don't read the descriptions of the talks ahead of time since I know that is the first thing I will do once I get to the Alexis Park.

I'll look into it and (probably) sign up before the end of the day.

Thank you for your effort, and I'll see you in Vegas.

I wonder what the attention span of all those available machines in one place (i.e., clueless participants with the worktop + wireless network = good, dirty fun!). I hadn't bothered to really look at all the speakers yet and was pretty much thinking i'll sit in my room and veg at DCTV...

Sounds like an interesting talk -- depending upon how crowded the speaking room is I may venture out to peek.

With that, the common mispellings are always a little teeth-grinding to me. It's penetrate, not penitrate. Decipher not decyfer... Participate not partisipate.... Oh I know, grammar nazi blah blah blah..

I think you just described (probably) half of Defcon. This talk shouldn't provide any more of a target than the public wireless network.

The spelling was a little jarring. I think it hurts the credibility of the talk, but then I think: "Hey, dummy! You can't criticize his work when you aren't giving any speeches!" :)

(Is spelling really a part of grammar in the usual sense of the word? I thought grammar was primarily concerned with sentence structure.)

Interesting enough, that was Open office spell check! But if you know me well (posted alot between DC11 - April, + EFNet DC channel) you would know that I'm a bad speller generally speaking. With that said, trust that I do have a very firm knowlege of my topic :)

I'm not talking smack about the tech or the info. I'm simply saying that an article is easier to read when it's gramatically correct. After reading your DC11 info I look forward to your DC12 presentation. Heading out tomorrow morning so I'll see you at the con.

Great looking forward to seeing you guys there! BTW account signup will be avalible durning speech. I was goin to do it on my website, but decided that this seemed alitle pointless as I would have to transport that dB to DC.

Catch me in room 1801 this weekend!
