Just got a last minute ok from my boss (the wife ;) ) to go. I'm a Network/Security Admin for a major University in socal. I'm just looking for a place to sleep. NO drugs/smoking/drinking, I just enjoy the CON ( and getting away from the wife and kids :D for a few days ) and all of the collective knowledge that's there, also I'm willing to help with the cost.

Sadly not yet cool enough

Sadly, both replies are not yet cool enough. The replies feature a no smoking/drinking/cavorting/insanity theme, which suggests a general lack of coolness.

Now, while I don't smoke, I _am_ looking for a cooler person than a mormon monk. Perhaps a mini-hunter-s-thompson-ish cool person. Perhaps someone with a tattoo of a snake on their face, or someone who posesses a tesla coil that we can set up here in the hotel room. We're in Vegas for chrissake!

Alright dog... I wasn't supposed to make it to the con this year because of a previous engagement cracking the DNC. But it took like 5 minutes, and now I'm bored. There are a bunch of people I could stay with @ the AP, especially closer than the luxor, but half of them are scene whores and the others haven't taken a bath since Mitnick was thrown in jail.

No drugs, or gay sex... but the rest is fair game. And I'll see what I can do about a tesla coil.
