Toronto, Canada - Starting a DC Group??

I'm considering put the effort into coordinating a Toronto area (southwestern Ontario) DC Group.

I'm not looking to do an 2600 style completely informal get together. I want meaningful presentations and discussions (with beer drinking of course). Truly maintain the spirit of Defcon and information sharing on a regular basis in Toronto.

I think you're asking the question backwards. Why would 75 people click on this, read it, and decide that they aren't interested.

Why don't you set up a time, place, topic and speaker - post that, and then see who shows up.

When you mean corporate sponsored, what type of company and what do they get out of it?

Beer is a bad idea at DCG Meetings. Period.

2621 always was an addon to 2600, having beer at a DCG Meeting is a horrible, horrible idea, and I hope to god no-one comes to your meeting.
