    Where is Black Sun?

    Yes! Servers can be shut down, websites redirected, hosting companies can even be changed.
    But how can a website as huge as BLACKSUN.BOX.SK just Disappear off the face of the earth?

    A sprawling, hackers haven filled with page upon page, link upon link, of software and various text files and tutorials that the NSA would be only too glad to be rid of.

    But was Black Sun removed for breaking the law, well lets have a look.

    The Url no longer works, the website is nowhere to be found, and entering its name into google yields only 4 results. Every trace of it obliterated.

    So, where the hell is it? And why was it taken from us?

    What do you think?

    The DNS is pointing to localhost. As for why, what does it matter? Perhaps someone just screwed up a DNS change, perhaps it was malicious. Either way, it's beyond anyone's control as to whether or not it's coming back.

      Yes but that doesnt explain why its not even on google search, even discussions about it and links etc, just ceased to exist. It almost as if every footprint was erased.

      Now don't you find that just a little odd?

        Not really... I managed to find quite a bit of info on it through Google with zero effort.

        No, because Google re-spiders pages that they've cached. Once they saw it fail x number of times over a certain period, it would likely be removed - particularly if they compare the reverse entry (127.0.0.1) against a list of known-non-routable IP addresses (10.0.0.0, 192.168.0.0, 172.16.0.0, etc.) before re-spidering it. So while their cache of the blacksun.box.sk domain may have expired, sites referring to it haven't.

        Remember that Google's purpose isn't to provide an archive of websites (archive.org does that), but rather a directory of them. Much like a phone directory, entries change.

            Did you do any of your own freakin leg work beyond google?

            Did you visit archive.org and get any info from the Archived site like:

            irc.freenode.net
            #bsrf

            or email address of contributers/admins
