Ehhh.. waiting in lines is when you actually get to meet some interesting people. That's half the fun of the event.
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I agree, I met alot of very intresting people (Including a guy who said he could make a fire by rubbing two sticks together).

The lines only get irratating when some idiot with a laptop starts showing off a new tool he has.
      The dude abides.

None, if you don't count what I watched from my room. If you do, then 4 and parts of 3 others. I slept the rest of the time.

The best was the Hack the Vote blackbox voting in my opinion....really kinda opened my eyes to the problem which i did not know existed to such a bad degree....the worst was the global hack war one...they talked about alot of things that everyone altready knew
          Did Everquest teach you that?

The one talk I flew 1800 miles to see and was badged media, the goons wouldn't let me in, I didn't stay at the AP so I was scrambling to find a room, DCTV had only the last 10 minutes of the talk, so that day and story was a complete clusterf*ck.

I was disappointed to see Richard Thieme's talk was the same time as CrimeThinc's talk as I really enjoy Richard's talks, but I knew CrimeThinc's talk had a better chance for violence from the audience, so I attended that one. ;)

The electronic voting talk was pretty good, and had a few additional nuggets of information hiding in it.

You might try to post this in the correct forum, and there's always the better idea, Google.

That being said, this forum has a pretty nice search feature, this thread might have the information for which you are searching.

Every year I go to Defcon I always regret not going to as many talks as I would like to have. So this year I made it a point to go to as many as possible, ended up seeing around 11. The lines were so long that there were many that I didnt think I would be able to get into. However, amazingly enough I managed to get in to see every talk that I tried to get into. I think my favorites were the shmoo group talk and the talk on Kryptos.

Two, the crimethic kid, and BIG DAN KAMINSKY. The Crimethinc kid was a waste of time. I might have been the bottle of Captian Morgans and Dr. Pepper Humperdink and I were consuming, but I have never heard anyone applaud as loud as when Dan's Voice over DNS demo worked.

I voted 3, but now I realize it was more like 4...

I caught my own talk, that's always a good thing. I also watched A's talk, The Schmoo Group, and I caught half of Johnny Long's talk on Google Hacking.

Every year the number talks I attend raises, but this year I attended multiple cons, and saw topics I had already attended. This year I did the Wardrive and the Scavenger Hunt contests with some people, which cut into my lecture time a little.

But I managed to catch 2 lectures on TV, and 3 live.. 2 of those 3 were over an hour in length.. the VOIP and Metasploit lectures. I barely made it into the VOIP one, people in line saying it had been moved or canceled. I think some press got shut out on that one..

BTW. I ran into this guy by pool 1 at some late hour, starting fires at the lobby door.
