    Just starting it up

    Hey, im just starting to get into the UNIX commands and stuff once I got my powerbook mac. I been into computers since about 1995. but mostly small aol crap stuff and visual basic programming. Since then i got into graphic design and video editing and music production on the computer. You can see my work at www.337studios.com if you want to.

    But mainly I want to start getting into the UNIX commands and stuff like that. Im hopeing this is the right place to hang out and stuff?

    Another thing is wardriving on my mac since i finally got a powerbook and now wireless internet. I tried with some programs, it found the networks but i could never use the web or anything, just could get to their wireless control panel. Any help?

    That's not WarDriving. That's breaking the law. Just so we are clear here, we don't condone discussion of criminal activity on this forum. It isn't a matter of CYA, it is a matter of we are not criminals. We are hackers. If you don't know the difference between hackers and criminals, or WarDrivers and criminals, that should be your research jumping off point.

      You can learn alot if you are willing to read and research....but read the rules and then read them again BEFORE you post!!!

      If you are asking about how to use your home network wireless there are plenty of good references, from the APPLE SUPPORT page for people that don't RTFM, to google.

      If you want to learn about wardriving then I strongly recommend that you read "WarDriving: Drive, Detect, Defend" (ISBN: 1-931836-03-5), and checkout http://www.worldwidewardrive.org/

      If you are smart you will read and not get banned for doing something stupid like ask about how to hack on a public forum that has all the IP logged....

      Just my opinion
