From the looks of some posts lately, it appears that XP Service Pack 2 causes panic attacks off the Richter scale.

Not sure if I'm speaking of the same earthquake, but I think it was on 9/2504 I was hiking to Half Dome with some friends in Yosemite. There were two earthquakes, one at around 4:00 and the second around 4:45. The first one had me a bit concerned, I was on the trail, but sweeping hundreds of feet up on my side was a wall of loose rocks and boulders. They began to shift and make a very loud noise. I thought that was the end for us, but it stopped. We were at the last stretch of switchbacks and did not hesitate to turn around and head back to the valley floor.
