    Defcon goes FHM!

Well got my copy of FHM in the mail last week and read the article on DC. All I can say is, if you thought there were scenewhores at 12 just wait till 13!

          Sorry kree: Reality Check
It will probably just reset the F/M ratio back to DC 5 or something...FHM doesn't have a big female readership.

You obviously don't know the females I do. You see there are alot of women out there who are just as interested in the same thing that I am and subscribe to the same magazine that my wife subscribed to for me. Incase you haven't read FHM on a regular basis and from cover to cover like I do, it tends cover alot of stuff that some women like to know abot but cosmo was afraid to tell them.

The same is true for Maxim. Maybe even playboy, a friend of mines wife bought him a subscription to the mag which she likes to read the articles in.
              Did Everquest teach you that?

I've been a loyal fan of Playboy since I was 12. Yes, I read it for the articles. I didn't start drooling over the girls til I was at least 15.

heh.. some media jerkoff came to the Wardriving Contest table and asked if he could take a picture or two of what was going on (at the time folks were setting up SSH keypairs and testing them for the contest). He said something about using them for an article and that he was with FHM. ... I paused and glared back at him ... "what the fuck is that?" He handed me a business card and later the magazine was explained to me.

... this must be that article :/
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

I have been meaning to post something about the article, I got it a few weeks before the thing hit the stands (they print it here, and a friend works at the press). The article is actually rather unbiased.. I was suprised.. it was a good read.

/me goes to check if said FHM materialized in his bathroom...

My roomate has a subscription and I just finished reading the article about defcon, I thought about scanning it in...but the lack of a scanner really doesn't help me out much right now. When I get around to accessing a scanner I'll host it up for y'all to check out.
                        Where's the dedication?

Well, The article was ok and I'm not hateing on it. I just haven't seen an article about DC in a non-tech magazine that is as popular as FHM and can't wait to see if it has any effect on defcon it self. Have gone to DC two times already (ya, I know) it's hard for me to belive that I still meet people that are into computers and even live in vegas that haven't heard of DC. It's just good to see FHM keeping it real with what was obvious all the coverage they could get.

FHM has done the unthinkable, they have put Morgan Webb on one of their spreads.
