What: Using technology including neetmeeting, skype, sync courses, etc.. design and implement an online community group which synchronusly meets to learn a programming language. (pascal, cobol, c, c++, etc..)
When: Two days a week for 1.5 hours per day
Why: To dedicate time to improving personal knowledge levels, and eventually design projects that 1.) educate and, 2.) address large scale problems. It is also understood that some individuals teach themselves to program. The idea is to form a collective of persons who are approximately the same skill level who desire to advance together.
Perhaps this will prosper, perhaps it will crash. Feel free to post interest in this project here.
It is also desirable to glean community pro's and con's.
