There is no maximum team size listed on the rules. However I'm sure that there will be a limit to the number of black badges given to the winning team. Was wondering if this had been decided and if you could let us know.

What I was origonaly asking is 1) is there any limit to the number of people that can be recognized as members of a team, if so how many? and 2) Given that at this point the team size is not set (good imo), it would be helpfull while recruiting people for a team to know the max number of badges/people who will get black badges, if the team wins.

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but- it seems to me the motivation behind contests such as these should be, and is (in general) in the journey. A focus on the prizes doesn't feel right. There are other contests for Robotics that have much better prizes....
Like I said, I'm not judging anyone, its just that all the robotics people I know build for the enjoyment of the build....
...that's just me.

While I agree with you LosT, I have a couple people that are on a team with me that seem to be obsessed with getting a black badge. People will have whatever motivation they will, as long as they are part of a kick ass robot competition, I don't realy care.
With that said, most (every?) other competition at defcon it is known how many badges are given out, with the robot warez and ip appliance being new last year, I don't think it was ever layed out in stone. The winning team last year in this competition was a 3 man team, hence three badges. If the winning team would have consisted of 6 people, would have they all gotten badges?
