First time I read it, it looked like they knew of a pending legal action. Now I read it and it looks more like, "We can see the writing on the walls, and our future is uncertain. Please help us with political support in the EU or else we really will go away."[font size=4]Closed for patent infringement[/font]
This headline might soon become a reality due to the numerous patented techniques MPlayer implements. Next up are the other free software multimedia players, like FFmpeg, xine, VLC, avifile, gstreamer.
I think they changed the text between the first time I looked at it and now. :-p
