  • Change my IP address

    Hi guy,
    i'm a novice of this forum!!! :)

Since a few days I have some problems with a site that I habitually visit. I think that my IP address was banned, therefore I wan't to change it, do you say me how I can do it and if it's possible to do it?
I haven't hostile intentions toward the webmasters of the site, but I have many friends in their forum and I wouldn't losing the contacts.

Thanks to all for the help!!! :)

I don't know precisely. I can't enter in the forum, suddenly. I don't think that there is a problem of the server because through another computer I succeed in entering.
However, do you know if exists some way to change the IP address on a line ADSL?

Not precisely, but how about generally? What reasons would they have to ban you?

This is still no guarantee that the ban is by your IP address.

Depending on the reason for you lack of access and how your ADSL ISP assigns addresses, there may be ways to get access again.

The most obvious would be to change to another ISP.

However, I am not convinced that they are even blocking you.

Are you running any firewall/filtering system for network access? Is it possible that you or this software blocked you from their site by denying packets from their IP address?

There are more things that can be done, and some of these have been discussed in other threads on these forums.

Use a proxy or assuming your xDSL ISP uses dynamic assignment, use ipconfig from windows to release your ip address, change your MAC address on your NIC to use another unicast address, and renew your DHCP lease. You can search for these keywords on google to see how to do this and drop client lease info.

You can take me the link for those discuss that you say?
I could do that, but you can use the forum search just as easily as me.

There are other methods beyond IP address filtering from their server that they may be using to deny you access.

If you can log into their server from other locations, why not ask their moderators why you can't access their forum from home?

                  Ipconfig /all
I think, try Ipcondig /? then you get all the commands.

But if youre ISP gives you a stadard IP then...
Have you try to block youre IP from showing to others on the net.

If you seach for annonym IP or something.

                  ask googel about anonym IP.

Worst case, if nothing above works ... why don't you try emailing the admin of the board? Normally people arn't banned with no warning/reason, so a quick email saying "hey, I can't get onto your site anymore, what's up?" and include the Nick you used on the site should get the ball rolling to clear things up.

                      just an idea :)

You have a few options (probably best to do all):
                        • Change your IP address by phoning ADSL provider (If you connect by means of an ADSL router you may simply be able to get a new IP address by turning the router off for 5 minutes then turning it back on. My ISP will then issue me with a new IP
                        • Change you MAC address of both your computer and your ADSL router. Its pretty simple to change the mac address of a network card but im unsure on howto do it on the ADSL router. Mayb a firmware hack of some sort?
                        • Delete all of your internet history, cookies, temp, ect. A cookie may have been stored on your computer so that the website knows your banned
                        • Try to create a new account on the forum once you gain access to it.

The easy option is to contact the webmaster and apologise for any inconvienneince caused and say it will not happen again.

I've found an all-encompassing solutions to all problems on or offline.
