Scavenger Hunt Suggestions

DC801 is now taking suggestions for items and tasks to put on this year's Scavenger Hunt list [1]. Descriptions can be as vague or as descriptive as you want. We won't use the same thing you suggest, but there's a good chance we'll use a modified version on the list. To get an idea of the kind of items we're looking for, check the previous Scavenger Hunt lists posted on the main page [2].

More items that require you to reach out past the AP/V, but not exactly on the 'strip' either. Get people into the city.

Examples:
Take a photo at 4 different Wal-Marts (address must be visible in photo)
Get casino chip from a local casino (E.g. Stations or Cost casinos)
Swim in a gas stations water fountain (this city's businesses have WAY too much money)

p.s. Please no unlimited items!!

It's been a goal of ours to put a decent amount of items specific to Las Vegas every year to get people out of the AP. We could defintely use the help of anyone currently living in Vegas for ideas since we all live in the black hole of Utah, and I don't know as much as I wish I did about Vegas.

yup.. Utah sucks alright... and I wish I knew someone in Vegas that could lend a hand... you know, come up with some sort of absolutly DASTARDLY tasks and items for these poor schleps to aquire and bring unto ME THE GOD OF ALL THAT IS SCAVEN... er... the judges.

Posting suggestions here will make it much less likely that they will be included verbatim in the list, but it might provide a spark that someone else needs to come up with some kick ass items.

Call a person and set up a date with someone whose ad is in the local "alternative" newspaper.

Create a quotation or phrase solely from words cut out of magazines or newspapers (like the random notes).

Find a particular word or phrase from some random page in an obscure book in the city library.

I wanted to make sure it wasnt somewhere I hadnt looked, so I checked the site, then the forums... and only after failing to find it posted on here.

I didnt get the list until a day before I was leaving town last year.. I still managed to scrounge up a bunch of the items.

I wonder what security thought when they searched my luggage and found the supersoaker packed in there.

It has not been posted. We planned on getting this out two weeks before con started, guess we missed that mark. I'll see what I can do about getting it out today.
