Hello. I have been using computers for all my life, but I know very little about network security.
I want to learn by practicing on my home network and with the network at my small office. I own all the hardware and im the one that build the computers and setup the network.
The goal is to understand how networks are compromised from the outside and then learn how to better secure them.
I have been reading up on a few things concerning cracking WEP keys and etc, so I have an idea of how that’s done, but I have no idea how someone can get through a router and get on a network.
I'm not asking anyone to hold my hand, but I would like someone to point me in the right direction, perhaps let me know where I can learn about these things and etc. Any good advice would be appreciated.
