after finally getting da boss to pay for vegas con, i can't find space in alexis/p or saint/t -- anyone have space to rent for 1 sole from NYC? friday night & sat?

You should have booked back when they announced the location for the con (January or Februrary would be good). They will charge you immediately for the first night (so you must have $140 to spare), but the amount is fully refundable so there is really no reason not to get a room. There is still a slim chance that some rooms will open up at the Alexis Park, but room sharing is more fun anyway.
I know you probably don't want to cut it any closer than you already have, but people have better chances finding a roomie as Defcon draws closer since room plans will be a little more finalized (e.g., lots of personal friends remain in "maybe" category until a week or two beforehand). In the worst case, you can always book a hotel room the day that you arrive within a city block of the Alexis Park.Originally posted by topcat -
