Defcon attendee from Canadia City looking for crash space

    Salutations.

I am hoping to crash in someone's AP suite, for the nights of Friday to Sunday, or some variation thereof, at a moderate rate.

Yes, I am a Canadian Citizen. <cue canadian jokes here, usually something about monopoly money, or cold weather>

I don't need much, I can sleep under a table if that is the case. Floors don't bother me. All I will have is myself, a pillow, and a small suitcase. I probably won't be sleeping too much during the con anyway, and most likely be out of the room most of the time.

I can be totally inobtrusive, leaving the room alone if you request that, provided I have mostly quick and free access to my things.

Yeah, I know it's a wee late to make this humble request, but budgeting is a bitch, and I'd rather plan on a tighter schedule than not go at all.

    About:
I am a 23 (hail eris) year old Sysadmin, I have been interested in computers, electronics, and technology and what they are capable of for most of my life. Attended DC12, and look forward to meeting other like minded individuals at DC13.

    Further information available upon request.

    Thanks!

    -Paul

        Looking to stop working...

        I'm finally headed to defcon.

Sysadmin, Inspector, DJ and all around badass muther*&^er
        just kidding!

Self-proclaimed computer guru and long term interest in computer networks/ bulletin board systems helped me become who I am. I'm looking to hook up with some people on the way there. I have frequency scanners, laptop, printer, wireless cards, router, loudstereo, coffee pot, and much more if someone wants to go in with me on a U-haul type of setup to get there. I'm on the east coast, in and out of New York daily. (queens and brooklyn) I've got to hear something back in the next few days or I may resort to plan B. I can afford rental solo but would much rather prefer to hook up for the drive. All people driving from the east coast feel free to contact me, I'll be looking for some company on the road. Holler

Suite, room, four walls and a door, that sort of thing. Didn't realize 'suite' was a particular type of room. 4

Yes, that was me, unfortunately. Wasn't going to be a dick, change names and try to be someone else. I want to at least try to own up to my mistakes.

Can't say I'm surprised by the responses.

Indeed. Most of us canadian can manage quite well even when we're totally pissed. (See all of my previous defcon experiences for proofs)

In the USA, being pissed does not mean being drunk, it means being extremely mad. I guess I can translate here, being a former Canadian, eh? :>

Right ;-). Although both definitions are frequently complementary.

I think that it's mostly geographical (physical areas, less on political separations), as most colloquialisms are. "Pissed" also means extremely mad up here, however, "Pissed Drunk" does mean very very drunk.
