    Dear Members,

    well i was on yahoo chat (boring) but well someone decided to try and test my computer volnurability by trying to flood me off yahoo with there PM/DCC/and add user flood tools . well all i had to do was just wait until the flood was done before i closed everything out it did not knock me offline or it did not "boot" my yahoo messenger (my computer can play with the big dogs).

    do you all know of a block/restriction for yahoo i can impliment becides ignore all accept on my yahoo list to prevent yahoo flood bot kiddies?

    Yes, it's known as Y-tunnel, and comes recommended if you visit yahoo chats frequently. If you're going to do that, also take a peek at the latest vulnerabilities in google, and set up filters so the tags don't cause crashes.

      It's been a while since I was in a Yahoo room but yes, I have also experienced these kind of "boots."
      Yahelite is also a good third party Yahoo chat client. Set it on YCHAT protocol and "booters" will have a hard time.

        I'll give a second recommendation for Yahelite. It does a decent job against most booters/spam in the chat rooms.
