I heard about a password cracking technique called Rainbow Crack.. Can anyone please tell me how it works and what the the tables associated with it are?? Also how is it specific to NTLM??

Take a look at RainbowTables.net. The have a pretty good explaination, as well as tutorials. The technique isn't limited to NTLM. Googling will bring up a lot more information, too.Thorn

instead of manually trying to brute force an encrypted hash, rainbow tables are a collection of hashes that can be searched through (faster than trying to brute force) to get the same result. others online say it better than i can at 8:30 in the morning...
