Uhm, it was *you* that made a reference to masturbation, you disgusting perv. I made a reference to kittens, as in "every time you page a sysadmin, God kills a kitten".
I took a poll, their are two acceptable pronunciations: "game" (rhymes with "lame") and GAY-im, not to be confused with anything cool and/or HighWiz related.
NSA is pronounced EN ESS AYY (like the Fonz) and we are the space people, NASA just manages infrastructure, logistics, delivery systems and emergency management.
I think a good rule of thumb would be if it is an acronym say the letters F-B-I, N-S-A however this is an exception not the rule....most Military acronyms are said as words not Letters but there are a few 3 letter exceptions.....So I guess I agree with everyone.

Some 3 letter acronym exceptions:
NIC, RAM, ROM, POP, GNU, PAM, REM, LAN, WAN, SAM, FUD, PIN, CAD, FAT, DAC, LUN, VAX, DOS, PIC, WAP, NOC, TCL (tickle), OLE (olay) ,ACL (ack-ull : not common)
At the moment I can only think of one two letter word that I've heard pronounced instead of spelled:
AP (Access Point)
You continue to inspire me on so many levels, hahaha! How about this one (a tad nostalgic, and always politically loaded)- how do you spell potato, Mr. Quayle? (For Allentrace, I'll use the Clinton Administration as an example- Remember Rwanda- "acts of genocide" do not constitute as genocide- check the phraseology hahahaha)- HEHEHEEHE!
Alright, kidding aside, here is the ultimate test- how do you pronounce Nevada- is it a) Neh-vah-dah (ah as in Halabja-hah-lahb-jah), or b) Ne-va-dah? (a short vowel as in orgasmic)
With regard to Giam, what if you took the phonetical perspective of the romance language (say, spanish) ,and apply it as something along the lines of gee-aye-ahm? Okay okay now Im getting too complicated, but it is a third option to maybe consider....
