    New York City Group.

    I am thinking of starting New York City DC-Group. Would anyone from the area be intrested in this? If so, please email me at razrbern@gmail.com. Also if you know of any great places to hold the meeting please let me know.

      I'm going to suggest that you may want to read the FAQs located here (particularly the PoC FAQ); they will probably be rather useful to you in getting started.

              Also, have you checked your area for existing groups? I'm sure it's a new idea for NYC.. but just in case?
              if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

                  I checked for a 212 in the DCG list when I saw the post. My trigger finger was ready, but there wasn't one listed. A google search for "dc212" and "defcon" did not yield quick results, and the poster was saved from my comments.

                      Yes! I did check the group list!!!!

                      There is no 212 group.

                          Cant contact anyone to get this going.

                              Though it could be problematics, it does not need to be if you handle yourself well...
                              Try attending a 2600 meeting in the same area. Sometimes DC and 2600 groups join under the same banner of 2600 (or others) for conveinience.

                              Also, be patient. Some people have jobs and real world demands that cause DefCon to take a bake seat.
