(this went out to the la2600 list earlier - but the sentiment still stands.)
...And a happy new year to you all. Sending this out early since I'm likely to not be in front of keys for the next few days.
On a personal note:
If anyone takes objection to my wishing them a Merry Christmas, they can eat a bag of shit. I refuse to buy into this 'happy holidays' crap, and will continue to wish my Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and <insert religion or otherwise here> friends the absolute best that the season has to offer. Note that my wishing someone a Merry Christmas does not impose my beliefs upon them any more than it refuses them the ability to pursue their own.
Oh, yeah, and if I'm offered a 'happy Hanukkah', 'joyous Eid Mubarak', or 'festive Bharat', or other appropriate greeting, I'll take it.
So, again, Merry Christmas, and all the best to you and yours for 2006.
