    Forums RSS feed?

Soo, the canonical vBulletin RSS generator doesn't appear to be enabled:

    http://forum.defcon.org/external.php?type=rss2

Can we get this flipped on?

Yes, it can be turned on.

Is there any interest in this beyond the two users who have commented on this?

I use RSS all the time. I'd definitely be interested.

This would make my life a lot easier since most of my posting is drive-by style right now. Don't have time to hang out and wait for replies; if I could just see them (and maybe new threads) in Sage it would kick ass.

If we included RSS support, there would be support for RSS .9x and RSS2, but the list of "new" threads that appear would be limited to Public/Guest threads.

For example, if at some future time, we decided to disallow read access to /dev/null and Fucktard Hall unless the user were registered, then these forum posts would not appear in an RSS feed.

            Still interested?

We'll try to get an answer in a few days.

I would probably use in instead of keeping a client constantly surveying the forums... ok, well.. I'd probably still buzzard things from time to time, but I do agree that it would be pretty cool.
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

I, of course am interested, the PSP now has an RSS reader so I can check my forum goodness while taking a break from Grand Theft Auto. This also might be nice for that spiffy mac rss reader screensaver dealio (if you own one you know.)
