  • Hackers, Booze, Ink, and Old Ladies

    There we were, Queeg and I, in the hot tub about a 6pack into the night when it hit us.... you know what we need;

    HACKER BINGO!!!!

That's right folks, The Riv have a bingo parlor. In which they serve booze! So we propose this: how many of you would be up for a few rousing games of DefCon Bingo?

The Rules are simple, you get a number and you don't have to drink that round. you don't get a number and you gotta drink. unpon getting a bingo everyone without a bingo has to finish a drink!

we can work on those.. Ijust wanted to see who all was up for some B-I-N-G-O
If I had a nickle for every time someone offered me ten cents to keep my two cents to myself... I would be a rich man.

It is as good a reason to drink as any other. Better if we the old ladies get in on it.

The numbers should be called in non-base-10, and require each participant to do a conversion to mark on the base-10 card

Sounds like your idea for Cooncon bingo. First we catch 75 raccoons, get some spraypaint.....

Paintball bingo might be fun. Get 500 people, 100 people per team, with 5 teams: team B, I , N, G and O. Players wear numbers, and as each team looses a player, their team letter and number are called out.

To make it interesting, we strap cheese to their clothes and have the competition take place in a room with hundreds of hungry rats.

There could also be betting on winning teams like horse racing for "win, show and place" and if multiple games were played, a "pick 6" may be possible.

(Ok. Maybe the part about the rats is not a good idea.)

No, no, no. I think you guys are missing the point. It's Bingo ... and booze.

              Now do you get it?

Um. Well, the people with the paintball guns could drink every time they "kill" someone. This could lead to people killing members of their own team to get more booze or as a result of having too much booze.

Obviously, the people playing bingo can drink for every letter/number that is called that is not on thier card.

There we go... booze added back to the equation. :-)

Do you get beer every time you get a number on your card or every round you win?

I'm all for drinking and paintball as well, but lets keep it as a separate event.

The original rules are in this very thread (surprise, surprise), although they don't cover the specific spirits of the game.

I'd be up for it! A bar here does Drunk Bingo and it's more fun than you would think.

some may not like this idea... but i think it would be cool if the bingo cards were a mixture of numerical digits and also names of services... if the caller shouted out "B-25" and your card had a square labeled "SMTP" in the B column, then you'd get to mark it off. this could make for an advantage to those who know port numbers, since they'd have more opportunities to mark their cards.

just an idea, since i tend to come up with ways that one can geekify just about any game. =)

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

ok for those of you that are unaware: Bingo is a game done by the casino... you can win money ( I think blackout's pay like 50-100k ) I would not suggesting making changes to your cards... I am sure we could just print our own cards and play our own game and not worry about sinning money, but, that could be an issue us not being paying customers once things begin to get "fun".

so I figured throw down the few bucks (normaly $1-$5 per card per game) and let us drink and stamp whilst making the old ladies phear.
