    I just got that email to.. what a sham. That's what I get for filling out the form with a legit copy I suppose..
    if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

                        some of you may consider this a stupid question,but why would anyone actualy want windows? except perhaps for gaming.

                            Well, it kind of *is* a stupid question. No one was looking for windows, they wanted the "free" USB key. To my knowledge, *no one* got a key. They all just got to give up (mostly fake) info to Microsoft, and then got that weaselly email about how they were out of them, but that you could go and download the important and exciting information from (URL). As if anyone was interested in the information...

                            We all wanted the TOY!!!

                                        This is a question about preference and opinion. Why would anyone want rocky-road ice cream? Personally, I think it sucks, but that does not mean there is someone out there that likes it. Why do they like it? That is their opinion.

                                        Similar things could be said for malware, but there are people paid to install malware, and research techniques to remove it. Why do they want do it? Better question: why do they want to get paid?

                                            Got the email but don't feel bad the website was updated to say it was only a 16mb drive anyway. Not enough for Damn Small Linux.
